Manju and Ruchir’s engagement was nothing short of magical. Set against the stunning backdrop of Rattlesnake Ridge in North Bend, their proposal captured the beauty of the Pacific Northwest—a perfect setting for such a memorable moment. Surrounded by sweeping views of lush forests and dramatic cliffs, the scenery was as breathtaking as the ring Ruchir presented to Manju.

 

Designing Manju’s Custom Engagement Ring

Manju’s engagement ring is a timeless masterpiece that balances elegance with individuality. Featuring an elongated emerald-cut diamond flanked by trapezoid side stones, the design is both bold and sophisticated. Set in sunny 18K yellow gold, the ring’s warm tones perfectly complement its clean, modern lines.

Here’s how easy it was for Manju and Ruchir to bring this beautiful design to life:

1. Starting with a Consultation: Ruchir and Manju booked an engagement ring shopping appointment to get a dedicated time slot with Valerie to look at rings together. Being completely new to the process, Manju had lots of questions, and Valerie was able to provide answers and walk her through the processes of purchasing something in stock versus designing something custom. During our initial consultation, we discussed their style preferences, budget, and any specific details they envisioned. Several of our unique, one-of-a-kind 14K gold rings that we already had in stock were catching Manju’s attention, but 18K gold was important to her. Manju was also debating between a dark stone and a lighter stone.
2. Forming the Vision: After the appointment, Valerie followed up with both Manju and Ruchir to provide a summary of the rings and processes that were discussed. Ruchir took some time to think about it and came back on his own to Valerie with a clearer idea of what he wanted for Manju—a three-stone ring that felt classic yet unique. Every couple is different, but in this instance, the goal was to surprise Manju with a custom design that aligned with her preferences, so it was great that she came along for the initial consultation.
3. Collaborating on the Details: Once we established the design direction, we sourced an exceptional elongated emerald-cut diamond and paired it with trapezoid side stones to create a balanced, symmetrical look. Every detail, from the stone selection to the choice of 18K gold, was tailored to their preferences, and Ruchir had the final say on the stone selections.
4. Seeing the Design Come to Life: With the design finalized, we shared design layouts and CAD renderings to help Ruchir visualize the ring. This step ensured every element matched his vision before moving into production.
5. Crafting the Ring: Our skilled jewelers brought the design to life, creating a piece that radiates uniqueness, craftsmanship, and care.
